However, that does not mean that you should now run to the grocery store and buy the first Greek yogurt that you see. No! It takes some time to learn how to choose the right Greek yogurt. With our tips, you will be able to spot the best Greek yogurt from a mile away.
- First of all, buy plain yogurt. Always. The flavoured kinds of Greek yogurt may look terribly good (they may even taste terribly good) but they are loaded with sugars and other artificial flavours. Yeah, you are probably unhappy right now and you do not really feel super hungry when you imagine yourself eating a plain Greek yogurt, right? Do not worry, this does not mean that you have to eat your plain yogurt plain. Add some honey, or fresh fruits to your yogurt!
- Do not buy fat-free yogurt. If you think that fat-free Greek yogurt will keep you slim, you are wrong. You need the fat so that your body is able to absorb all the great things that Greek yogurt contains!
- Go organic. Yes, you will pay more, however, this way you will really know what you are eating. The milk used in your yogurt will not be the milk from cows who were fed with hormones. And that is probably worth the money, right?
- If organic is not enough for you, you can go for a yogurt that is made of milk from grass-fed cows. It is probably not easy to find, but if you find it, you will not want to eat another yogurt.
